Below are products I produced for the Central Connecticut Regional Planning Agency. The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail Plan explores potential routes for the trail, planned to extend from New Haven to Northampton, Mass and designated as part of the East Coast Greenway, could take as it passes through northern Southington and the town of Plainville. The Terryville Safe Routes to School Plan was written to assess the need to improve walking and bicycling conditions around two schools. As part of that project I devised a methodology for mapping students' probable routes to school; the resulting map guided decisionmaking about where to target planned improvements. The Safe Routes to School GIS Poster displays the resulting map as well as a short description of the methodology. The poster was displayed at the state Legislative Office Building for the month of November 2009, in conjunction with CT GIS Day.
